Historic village of Morland

The village of Morland which is steeped in history is just a 15 minute walk away from Cranesbill where you can see the Saxon tower of Morland Church, which has a squirrel shaped tree in the grounds. The church is the oldest Cumbrian building still in daily use of it's original purpose.

In the centre of the village, overlooking Morland Beck's waterfall is the Mill Yard Cafe & Bistro which is a great place to have a drink and a bite to eat. It's open 7 days a week and they also serve evening meals on a Friday and Saturday. There is also a deli section which sells locally sourced food, home made cakes, beers, wines and gifts.
