Ulverston Dickensian Christmas Festival

Ulverston’s Dickensian style two day festival attracts thousands of people each year. The Christmas festival is in its 13th year, and this year the festival takes place on the weekend of 26th and 27th November.

The Dickensian Festival is organised by a local committee of volunteers on a non-profit basis, relying on fund raising, sponsorships, grants and donations from local businesses. There is a real great community spirit with the local shop keepers getting into the spirit of the festival and wearing traditional period clothing. With Ulverston’s cobbled streets and ginnels, old worldy pubs and unique speciality shops, it only adds to the feeling of stepping back in time.
